Schaefer's teams up with the Winnetka Community House Woman’s Board this Friday (3/19/21) to present co-founder Jim Nantz’s wine brand "The Calling."
ABOUT THE TASTING
Famed sports commentator Jim Nantz co-founded a wine brand The Calling in storied Sonoma, CA in 2012. Jim kicks off this fun virtual wine tasting fundraising event with a special welcome video to everybody attending and is followed by his award-winning winemaker James MacPhail, pictured below.
Since the first vintage, The Calling wines are now quality standards for the Sonoma region with more than fifty-five 90+ ratings. James, our host for the evening, will virtually transport a tasting of these exceptional wines to the North Shore on Friday, March 19 at 7:30pm.
James will lead us through a 3-bottle tasting of The Calling’s Dutton Ranch Chardonnay, Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, & Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Since 2002, James has produced over 100 different Pinots and Chardonnays with 90+ point scores making him one of only a few members of the "90+/90+ Club" in Sonoma County.
