Mocali hits its stride with their traditional style of Brunello di Montalcino in this 2018 vintage. Using 100% estate-owned Sangiovese Grosso they crafted a palate-pleasing wine offering an herbal, floral and fruit mix of thyme, tea leaf, mint and violets. Ripe cherry, lemon, plum pit and raspberry elevate the senses. A touch of new leather and earth keep it grounded. Balanced, the silky tannins are contrasted by a zesty finish. Three years total aging between large Slavonian and French oak.
