Hailing from one of the oldest Bordeaux estates, this 2013 Pomerol is 85% Merlot & 15% Cabernet Franc. Truffle, tobacco, worn leather, vanilla, cocoa nibs and anise seamlessly share space with red plum, blackberry and easy oak spice. Lean, but vibrant, the integrated tannins are gentle, creating a supple palate and lingering finish. Consider pairing with charcuterie, bacon-wrapped pork tenderloin or herbed pan-seared duck breast.
