The distinguished Old Elk Distillery prides itself on its craftsmanship and the curated diversity of their portfolio. Their "Sweet Elizabeth 9" Sherry cask finish whiskey is a testament to the distiller's art. The base is their signature high malt mash bill (51% Corn, 15% Rye & 34% Malted Barley). This foundational whiskey is then left to rest in Oloroso Sherry casks. In the 2023 series bottling the primary age is 5 years & the secondary age is 19 months.
Full-bodied, the exotically sweet & nutty nose draws you to sip and the palate provides nuanced layers of caramel, honey, hazelnut, raisin, plum, fig and oak spice, vanilla and white pepper. This unique whiskey is broad on the palate and long on the finish. 110.8 proof
