OLD FORESTER "1920" PROHIBITION STYLE BOURBON, Kentucky

Through one of the permits granted to only six distilleries in Kentucky during Prohibition to continue to make alcohol, for medicinal purposes, Old Forester is the only bourbon continuously sold by the same company before, during and after Prohibition! To pay homage to this era, they produced the 1920 Prohibition bottling at what was, at that time, the common proof of 115. Expect a bold and robust profile providing intense cherry preserves, tart apple, thickened maple syrup, dark chocolate, drippy caramel, graham cracker, cinnamon, coriander, cedar, smoke and toasted marshmallow. A predictably long finish follows the swallow.
