The "d'Antan" in the name of Henri Bourgeois' Sancerre d'Antan bottling is a reference to the ancestral method of production ("d'Antan" translates to "back in the time"). Tradition is huge for Famille Bourgeois.
Made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc from old vines and 100% Silex, the wine exudes characteristic flint smokiness. Verbena, lime and mineral dominate the aromatics. The well-balanced, full-bodied palate offers almonds, coconut, apple flesh, lime zest, ripe gooseberry, grapefruit and vanilla accented by salinity. Unfined and unfiltered.
