Grown in the appellation of Assisi, this region is initially known for its production of extra virgin olive oil. Limestone soils create a soft, well structured wine with tasty tannins and a complex finish. 50% Sangiovese, 30% Merlot, and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon are blended creating a ruby red hue edged with purple. Fresh and fruity with notes of red fruit, sweet spices, and chocolate on the nose. The consistent palate is fresh with tasty tannins showcases cherries, raspberries, and mocha. The complex finish is long and savory re-visiting the same ripe fruits rounded out with dark fudge and deep baked spices. Pair this with fondue and any grilled, roasted, and stewed dishes or just drink on its own.
