Pepe Saya has been churning butter since 2009 in their buttery in Sydney Australia. In 2023 they created another buttery in Pennsylvania.
They now work hand in hand with the Amish community of Lancaster County, with their farms supplying beautiful cream. Churned by the Amish, the farm fresh cream has been cultured, creating crème fraiche, and then batch churned to create the unique creamy, tangy flavor. This has created not only excellent butter but an avenue for communal support and continuation of artisan skills in farming and buttermaking.
