Gotta love that label! The family has a butcher shop in addition to a winery, hence the butcher pig! Their Blaufrankisch hails from the Burgenland - Austria's easternmost Federal state which happens to be an ideal home for Blaufrankisch and Zweigelt.
Lots of verve and texture here featuring crushed currant and blackberry, kumquat, kirsch, cherry and thyme. Floating over all of this are exotic teak and sandalwood notes. Plum tannins caress the palate. Vegan-friendly.
