Hall has multiple sites spread across the various districts of the Napa region encompassing more than 500 acres that are being grown organically with the focus being on small-vine viticulture, precision winemaking, wild-yeast fermentation, and micro-block blending. This process ensures that all of their classic Bordeaux varietals are of the highest quality and purity while respecting the environment. The Hall's also believe that their farming procedures showcase the unique soils and climates within the region and how those factors contribute to each wines diverse character and flavor. Prior to meeting then marrying Craig (Hall), Kathryn worked her family's vineyards in Mendocino. In 2003 the Hall's started to acquire their various parcels within the Napa districts. From there they restored them all while being sure to update the sites to state of the art equipment. These depths of detail lead to them to the completion of California's first LEED® Gold Certified for the historic 1885 Bergfeld Winery parcel. Their 100% Sauvignon Blanc had a growing season that was more stable than in previous years. This season the grape weren't rushed to ripen and were given the time to gently do so and develop deeper flavors. Even with the few unpredictable weather systems and storms that hit the area the fruits was still quite exceptional. Pale lemon hues lead into intense aromas of gooseberry, fresh cut grass, juicy mango, lemon rind, and grapefruit. The palate is complex and layered with of pineapple, lemon, and lime with back notes of crisp minerality. Balanced and bold it finishes long with rich creaminess thanks to stirring the lees while in the stainless steel tank. Savory and deep yet still bright it's well balanced throughout with bold pronounced flavors. Enjoy chilled on its own or pair with poultry, seafood, creamy cheese platters, and any veggie/Vegan fare.
