Bonterra's single-vineyard 'The Butler' red wine is made from a blend of biodynamic grapes that would be equally at home in France's Rhone region: 63% Syrah, 18% Petite Sirah, plus Mourvedre, Grenache and Viognier. Extraordinary finesse, power and intensity are found in earthy aromatic notes of wood smoke, black pepper, tar, blueberry, game and wild herbs. The dramatic dense palate delivers concentrated black cherries, cassis, rosemary, and cinnamon, with subtle minerality and supportive tannins that define the wine through the long finish.
