Paloma The Paloma (Spanish for "dove") is a tequila-based cocktail. This drink is most commonly prepared by mixing tequila, lime juice, and a grapefruit-flavored soda. Ingredients: 2 ounces Tequila (Blanco or Reposado) ½ ounce 4 ounces Optional: Fresh Lime Juice Grapefruit Soda or Fresh Grapefruit Salted Rim Lime Wedge Directions: Rim glass with salt (optional). Fill glass with ice and add Tequila and lime juice. Top off with grapefruit soda or grapefruit juice. Garnish with lime wedge.
Greyhound/Salty Dog Gin was the original spirit of choice in the Prohibition-era Greyhound. When vodka caught the attention of American drinkers after World War II, it quickly replaced the gin. Either spirit is an excellent choice. Ingredients: 2 ounces Vodka or Gin Top with Grapefruit juice or grapefruit soda For a Salty Dog, same as above, salt the rim of your glass prior to adding ingredients.
