This drink is a spirited, sweet and sour combination - maybe you know someone like this?
The story goes that the drink was created to honor Martin M. Lomasney a democratic polital figure from Boston, Massachusetts; and the city's Ward 8 which historically delivered him a winning margin.

2 ounces of Rye Whiskey
1/2 ounce lemon juice
1/2 ounce orange juice
1 tsp grenadine
Garnish with orange and Luxardo cherry
Shake and strain all ingredients into a coupe glass
