Owned by Patricia Ortiz, Tapiz Winery has racked up many accolades over the years as have her other wineries!! Harvested from their Finca San Pablo vineyard located in the Uco Valley, the site sits at one of the highest altitudes in Mendoza utilizing the cold nights and microclimate for producing wines that are intense from nose to mouth. The winery is sustainable in ALL aspects just like its sister sites. Produced by Fabian Valenzuela and Jean-Claude Berrouet (Chateau Petrus) the 100% Malbec is fermented in the Traditional Champenoise Method. Bright pink hues give way to delicate aromas of ripe red fruits showcasing the red berries. Delicate, persistent small bubbles provide crisp freshness on the palate with the aromas carrying through. Fresh and fruity ripe cherry on the palate the lingering finish is crisp with minerality and sliced strawberry. This is a steal at under $20 for a sparkling considering it's from the winemaker behind Petrus and Dominus!!
