92pts from James Suckling and 91pts each from Wine Spectator and The Wine Advocate. Divided into 108 meticulously farmed sections and with 10 planted varietals, Stoller is the largest contiguous vineyard in Oregon's Dundee Hills. The property spans 400 acres, with 225 acres dedicated to growing vines at elevations ranging from 210 to 650 feet. The mountain ranges buffering the vineyard create a warmer microclimate that ensures consistent ripening. The fruit is comprised of several clones of Pinot Noir and is sourced from the older sections with 158 acres being dedicated solely to them. Fermented separately and aged in French Oak, the barrels are blended to showcase the diversity of the vineyard sections. The result is an elegant, complex wine that exhibits the classic red fruit characteristic of the Dundee Hills. Earthy aromas of tobacco and toasted oak give way to a palate of ripe cherries, bright raspberry, and jammy strawberry. Velvety tannins lend to the medium bodied mouthfeel while finishing complex yet rich and deep with truffles, mocha, baked spices, and warm vanilla. Enjoy on its own or with a rich dish of roasted veggies, braised meats, and stews.
