Founded in 2003 by Charles Rolls and Tim Warrillow, Fever-Tree was created based on one simple yet logical point; wouldn't you want the best mixer if your Gin and Tonic is three quarters tonic?? After years of working in different parts of the drinks industry they both noticed that there was a growing interest in premium food and drink but mixers seemed to be neglected. They used this approach to model their business in a different way. Charles and Tim agreed that both flavor and quality were the most important factors in crafting then producing their mixers. Their mindset on this came from the fact that one would pay a good deal of money for a high-quality spirit only to have it cut down with a poor-quality mixer that they had no choice over. They continue to develop new flavors based on innovation and diversity. All of their ingredients are naturally sourced working with small family owned farms throughout the world for the freshest citrus, spices, and herbs. The base for all of their mixers start off very simple; spring water blended with botanical oils and the highest quality quinine harvested from the 'fever trees' located in the eastern hill ranges of Congo. Their Ginger Beer starts off the same as their Ginger Ale with the sam blend of Fresh Green Ginger from the Ivory Coast, Nigerian Ginger from Nigeria, and Cochin Ginger from Cochin, India. The Green Ginger is very similar to fresh lemongrass with zesty notes and being very aromatic while the Nigerian Ginger is intensely spicy and deep. The palate is rounded out by the Cochin Ginger which is almost chocolaty on the nose with a rich, earthy flavor that compliments the others. With the difference of a few different ingredients this is lighter in body and flavor. Still intense and spicy, it's softer on the palate but still is complex with warm citrus notes and a crisp clean finish its recommended that you pair this with darker spirits for a truly intense experience.
