AVIATION AMERICAN GIN

Ryan Reynolds is still an acting part of Aviation Gin even though he sold the company in August of 2020. Having said that he wanted to do a signature bottle so he crafted one by blowing the bottle himself and then etching his signature into it. Handcrafted in small batches by a dedicated team of master distillers in Portland, Oregon the recipe was created by pioneering bartender Ryan Magarian and master distiller Christian Krogstad.
They wanted to craft a gin that is more versatile and mixable whether its shining on its own, mixed into vintage drinks, or used in contemporary culinary cocktails. Many gins can be medicinal and harsh due to the juniper being to overpowering. Instead Aviation uses seven different botanicals to create a balanced blend. Cardamom, coriander, French lavender, anise seed, sarsaparilla, juniper, and two kinds of orange peel are infused during maceration by steeping them until the flavors have bonded. This is done for 18 hours in macerating tanks. The botanicals are placed in nylon sacks and then suspended in a pure, neutral grain spirit to keep the integrity of the flavors.
