Whisky Maker's notes for Highland Park 15 - "A flavourful and intriguingly complex whisky with a deep golden natural colour from the cask. Finely balancing aromatic warmth with zingy citrus notes, Highland Park 15 is all about lively contrasts—just like life here in Orkney. This single malt is bursting with flavours of cinnamon-charred pineapple and warm vanilla sponge cake. You'll detect hints of heather honey in its mellow peat smoke. We fine-tune the subtle warm vanilla notes of the 15-year old by harmonising whiskies matured in first fill, sherry-seasoned American oak casks and first-fill, sherry-seasoned European Oak casks, as well as some refill casks to balance out its contrasting flavours. It’s bottled at a slightly higher ABV of 44% which lends its complex notes an extra touch of vibrancy."
