NEBEL RHEINHESSEN RIESLING 2018, Germany
Availability: In stock
88pts from Wine Enthusiast. Hailing from Rheinhessen (Germany's largest appellation) the Nebel vines grow in soil consisting of sand, some clay, and windblown silt. Sitting next to the Rhine River the climate is relatively cool allowing for the long ripening period allowing the Riesling grapes to properly develop under the late autumn sunshine. Fine, fruity aromas of fresh white flowers such as honeysuckle and orange blossom are heightened by notes of citrus zest popping through. Straw green in color the palate is light with ripe white peaches, zesty grapefruit, and concentrated minerality. Finishing crisp with tart green apple and rich honey this is semisweet in style with an ethereal quality. Easy and invigorating chill and enjoy now or through 2021. Drink on its own or pair with seafood, cheese platters, or as an aperitif.
