RAYMOND MERLOT "RESERVE" 2017, Napa

Made from 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon for added depth and complexity, with rich aromas of red cherry, red plum, currant, raspberry, clove and spicy earth with tangy Bing cherry, plum, raspberry, cassis and baked rhubarb flavors followed by notes of tobacco, coffee and black pepper. A well balanced wine with good structure, full round flavors and a lingering vanilla finish. It comes from one of our favorite family-run wineries, Raymond Vineyards located in Napa Valley. While the winery was founded in 1971, the family history in Napa traces back to 1933 (when the Roy Sr. was hired to work for Beringer), putting them on their 5th generation of vintners.
