Clos Du Val is French for "small vineyard estate of a small valley." Founded in 1972 in the renowned Stags Leap District of Napa it is still family owned today with 350 acres of estate vineyards spread out through the Stags Leap District, Carneros and Yountville appellations. Proving to be a hotter than normal season, 2015 had early rain which caused a smaller harvest but a greater concentration of fruit.
Medium-bodied, this Pinot Noir is a bright and brilliant red hue with superb clarity. A complex nose is loaded with an array of exotic spices leading into a palate of bold, red fruits such as bright rhubarb and baked cherry. The silky yet deed, jammy mouthfeel finishes with hints of fresh cream giving it a balanced richness. Perfect for your favorite chicken dish, baked salmon, and baked veggies.
