Camarda's Nerello Mascalese is the embodiment of Sicily's terroir. The land is worked by hand in the ancient traditions passed down from father to son. Passion and commitment to the 100+ year-old vines that create this unfined and unfiltered red wine are abundant.
Medium-bodied, the wine shows violets, ripe cherries and raspberries, and dried thyme, sage and tarragon. Smooth tannins and lively acidity reward the palate. Consider pairing with Comte cheese, eggplant caponata or pasta con sarde (sardines).
