28 MILE VODKA, Illinois 750ml

This local distillery is a meer 28 miles North of Chicago in Highwood. Considered "down the road apiece" during Prohibition legend has it that this was founded by a woman named Rose Miller (aka "The Debonair")and the original formula was called “28 Special”. Having alluded authoritites up until her untimely death in 1942's famed Cocoanut Grove nightclub fire, her family held onto her ledgers. Wishing to remain anonymous they have shared them with the new owners the Falberg brothers and their friend/head brewer Matt Greif. Their signature Vodka is a blend of all malted midwest grains. Clear in color with a nose of almond and creamy vanilla the silky mouthfeel is punctuated by the vanilla and finishes with a warming cocoa sensation. Enjoy on it's own neat, on the rocks, or in your favorite cocktail!!
