Members get one bottle each of three carefully selected wines delivered to their door. You pick what months you want. Our selections cover a tantalyzing range of styles and countries. And if you like what you taste (and you will), you can order more at the special members' price of at least 15% off for a month.
No risk guarantee
 You are billed only for the wines you get so you can cancel at any time. There is no membership fee and remember, we have a no risk guarantee for everything we sell, including Tri-Wine.
Fun and educational
In each box you will find a fact sheet for each wine. It will teach you about the winery and the wine, what it tastes like, what to serve with it, a copy of the label, a pronunciation guide, and space for you to write your own tasting notes. There's no techno-babble to get in the way of your enjoyment. Your collection of fact sheets will become a valuable reference and if you subscribe for six months or more we will send you a nice binder to hold them. These fact sheets are so good that many of our members have said that they are almost as important as the wines!
Who picks the wines?
One thing all Tri-Wine selections have in common: They all pass our rigorous tasting panel and get our personal endorsement. Most important, Tri-Wine is operated by us, Schaefer's Wines, Foods & Spirits, a family owned fine wine specialist in the same building since we were founded in 1936. We are not fronting for some big distributor with private label wines nobody ever heard of or a winery selling only its products. We are regarded as one of the best wine shops in the nation. Founded in 1990,Tri-Wine was one of the first wine of the month clubs. It has lasted because we ship wines people love at great prices and because we have access to the finest wines of the world and buy in large enough quantities that we can get the best prices. Our expert buyers travel the globe searching for your selections. We know we do our job well because so many members order cases of our selections. That's why it makes sense for us to hit it out of the park each time, we both win. These are not closeouts or overstocked wines!
Classic vs. Deluxe: What's the difference?
 Both offer the best wines we can find for the price. Classic Tri-Wine selections are the wines you will re-order for daily enjoyment. Deluxe Tri-Wine selections are just a little more special. We call them "weekend wines". Our members have called Classic Tri-Wine a great class in wine appreciation, and Deluxe Tri-Wine to be like an advanced class in wine appreciation.
May I give Tri-Wine as a gift?
Tri-Wine makes a great gift because you will be remembered throughout the year. Your recipients will be thrilled to receive their package as a regular reminder of your generosity, extending the spirit of your gift for months to come. Mother's Day, Father's Day, graduations, weddings, and birthdays are just a few of the excuses that our customers have used to give Tri-Wine. We will be happy to enclose your personal gift card, or, if you prefer, we will send one of our gift cards with the message you provide us. Recipients receive a handsome certificate which includes your greeting within a few days of your order. If you need special arrangements, we can handle it.
What type of wines will I get?
The majority of our Tri-Wine selections are dry table wines, although we occasionally treat you to a sweet dessert wine, a fortified wine such as a sherry or port, or even a sparkling wine. White and red wines are almost equally balanced over the course of a year. Our trio of wines typically includes an American wine and two imports. Here is a breakdown of our past five years: United States 38%, France 28%, Italy 17%, 6% Australia, Spain 5%, Germany 3%, Chile 2%, and Portugal 1%.  Legal stuff
You must be 21 or older to order and someone 21 or older must be there to receive the shipment during normal business hours. The driver really does check IDs. Each monthly package typically arrives by the 5th day of the month. All charges will be billed to your credit card or existing Schaefer's account on a monthly basis. A gift of Tri-Wine is billed at one time.
The shipping address below must be in a state that we can ship to legally. Shipping is regulated by state laws, but happily, the list of is growing. We currently ship to about 30 states: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
